Colorado Springs, Colo. – USA Boxing announced today that Chris Trombetta was elected by the Board of Directors as the new Board of Directors Chair.

Trombetta joined the organization after being selected by the USA Boxing Nominations and Governance Committee to serve on the Board as an Independent Director in 2019. He is currently serving his second term on the Board.

"It's an honor to serve as Chair of USA Boxing at such an important moment for our sport,” stated Trombetta. “My focus is on strong governance, supporting all of our members, including athletes, coaches, RJs, and all those at the grassroots level who invest in the broader boxing community, ensuring USA Boxing is set up to thrive in the long term. I'm grateful to the board, Mike McAtee, and everyone who makes this organization run. I'm excited and looking forward to what's ahead."

“Chris has been a vital independent director for USA Boxing since joining the Board in 2019, and we are excited to welcome his leadership as Chair of the Board of Directors as we continue building toward LA28,” stated USA Boxing CEO/Executive Director Mike McAtee. “His experience and perspective will be invaluable as we focus on strengthening our membership, supporting grassroots boxing, expanding gym growth, and advancing regional, national, and high-performance boxing across the country.”

Prior to being elected as Chair, Trombetta served for seven years on USA Boxing’s Board of Directors, playing a crucial role on the organization's audit and finance committee, governance, and grassroots initiatives. Before his time on the USA Boxing Board, Trombetta began his career as a US Army Officer as a Captain in the infantry.

He then started his private-sector career as a management consultant at Bain & Company in the Los Angeles office, focusing on media and consumer clients. Following Bain & Company, he led Corporate Strategy and Talent for Red Bull North America. During his time at Red Bull, he was responsible for the US branch of Red Bull's charity, Wings for Life, which gave him exposure to non-profits and to elite athletes. He currently serves as Chief People Officer at ServiceTitan.

Trombetta is a West Point grad, and during his service, he competed in boxing and quickly developed a respect for any boxer who steps into a ring. The 44-year-old graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard Business School.
