USA Boxing is accepting applications for two Athlete Representative positions on the Board of Directors and Athlete Advisory Council for the 2027-30 term. The election will be conducted in accordance with USA Boxing's bylaws and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee's compliance guidelines. Only "10-year" and "10-year plus" athletes, as defined by the USOPC, are eligible to run.

"10-year" and "10-year plus" athletes, as defined by the USOPC, are athletes who represented the United States at a USOPC Delegation Event or other international qualifying competition within the past 10 years or more than 10 years ago, respectively.

The application period opens Aug. 1, 2026, and closes Sept. 1, 2026. Elections will take place after the USA Boxing Nominating & Governance Committee vets the applications. If only two qualified candidates apply, they will be elected by acclamation.

One of the two positions must be filled by a 10-year athlete, who will also serve as Team USA's Athlete Commission alternate. The 10-year athlete who receives the most votes will fill the required 10-year position. The second position will then be awarded to the remaining candidate with the next-highest vote total, regardless of whether they are a 10-year or 10-year plus athlete.

Per the election guidelines, only 10-year athletes are eligible to vote.

Athletes interested in applying should contact Stacy Arredondo, Program & Projects Specialist, at sarredondo@usaboxing.org and include their name, membership number, and the name and year of the qualifying event at which they represented the United States.
