PeeWee Champions Crowned on Day Four at 2026 Junior Olympics and Summer Festival

Day four concluded at the 2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics and Summer Festival at the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center in Wichita, Kan. USA Boxing crowned its first champions of the week on Thursday as 16 Pee Wee boxers earned gold medals.

Session one featured 81 bouts, including nine Pee Wee male championship bouts and three Pee Wee female championship bouts. Of the 16 Pee Wee champions crowned Thursday, 13 were male, and three were female. The evening session featured 108 bouts, with 37 Junior, 41 Youth, and 30 Elite bouts contested across five rings.

Among the Youth and Elite competition, seven members of USA Boxing's High Performance teams entered the ring, including Gilbert Kabamba, who earned his first win in Kansas after recently winning gold at the 2026 Copa America in Colombia. USA Boxing Youth High Performance Team captain Lauryn Elmore also made her tournament debut, stopping her opponent in the opening round at the 1:43 mark.

Day five of the Junior Olympics and Summer Festival continues on Friday, June 26. There will be only one session at noon CT, featuring 156 bouts, including Intermediate, Bantam, Junior, Youth and Elite weight divisions.

Tickets to attend the event are available for purchase at the door for $20 for a day pass, $60 for a week-long pass and $25 to attend Saturday’s championship bouts.
