Florida
President#
Winner by acclamation. (Ran unopposed).
To be Fair, Firm and Consistent with all our clubs and members. With over 30 years as a full time Police Officer I saw a need for recreation in our high crime City. In 1994 we started a Police Boxing Club, after 3 months we had 16 kids. Around 1995 we joined USA Boxing so the kids can compete with others. I was voted in as J.O. Chairman 2 terms and than V.P. 2 terms and President one term so far. I am seeking re-election for 2024. I am retired and volunteer for our local PAL Boxing and continue to steer kids in the right direction.
Vice President#
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of Vice President of LBC 14 for USA Boxing. My journey in the world of boxing has been marked by a deep and unwavering commitment to the sport, and I believe that this role is an opportunity for me to give back and make a meaningful impact on our local boxing community. Boxing is more than just a sport to me; it's a way of life. I started boxing at the age of 10, and it has been a central part of my life ever since. My son's journey as a state national champion and professional boxer has further fueled my passion and dedication to this sport. This personal connection drives my desire to contribute to its growth and success through the LBC 14.
Over the course of 18 years, I've been deeply involved in boxing in various capacities. I've dedicated 7 years as an assistant coach and 11 years as a head coach of Fort Myers PAL. My achievements include obtaining a Level 2 Official certification and being a Bronze and Silver certified USA Boxing coach. In 2018, I had the honor of coaching a State Champion, and in 2020, I was nationally ranked as a top 10 USA Boxing coach. My previous role as Vice President of LBC 14 in 2019 has provided me with valuable insights into the organization's operations and needs.
My professional experience complements my passion for boxing. I have served the Fort Myers Police Department, working with youth programs, which has equipped me with the skills to engage with and mentor young athletes, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
As a candidate for Vice President, I bring with me qualities such as dedication, leadership, and a strong work ethic. My ability to work with young athletes and my commitment to fostering their growth and development aligns perfectly with the goals of this position.
My vision for LBC 14 is to elevate the organization to new heights. I will focus on ensuring that we have top-trained officials to provide the best officiating in the state of Florida. Additionally, I aim to build a strong Florida Team that can proudly represent us at the national level while fostering a culture of good sportsmanship at the local level.
To contribute to the growth and success of LBC 14, I will actively engage in fundraising efforts to support our local boxers in reaching national tournaments. I will also organize official workshops to ensure our officials are well-prepared and maintain the highest standards of officiating.
To engage with and represent the boxing community within LBC 14, I pledge to be present at every boxing show, not just as a candidate but as someone who volunteers and supports anyone in need. Additionally, I aim to create equal opportunities for our local boxers to participate in every show, fostering a sense of fairness and inclusivity.
In conclusion, I am deeply committed to the growth and success of LBC 14 and the boarding boxing community. I believe my experience, passion, and dedication make me the ideal candidate for Vice President. Together, we can shape a future where LBC 14 thrives and our local boxers reach their full potential. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
During My years being with USA boxing, I have meet and enjoyed working with some great people in and out of Florida. At the moment our LBC is going through some major changes which is making our LBC divided, I think the best solution to bring our LBC together is to have a transparency with our members and promote unity.
