If no one is running for one of the BOD positions being elected, that position must be filled as soon as possible after the election. It is the responsibility of the newly elected board to appoint someone to that position. The board of directors must approve, by a majority vote, the person to fill the position. The position can be filled by someone already on the board, combining it with the position they currently hold, for example, the treasurer can also be appointed as the secretary, or the board can appoint a new person.
