As an amateur boxer in the 70's I come from a long list of boxers in my family, such as my paternal and maternal grandfathers and my father, along with my siblings, and paternal uncles. I'm currently a member and past President of a youth advocacy group, who targets at-risk youths. I'm the Director of a non-profit Hospital in Philadelphia and I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology and was a PhD Candidate. My strong characteristic are mediations, caring, understanding, hard charger and loyalty. Leadership qualities were established in the Military as a Sgt First Class (Retired), elected Committee-person in the 16th Ward, Free Mason and Shriner. Member of USA Boxing for over 15yrs and served as Chief of Officials for 8 years, and President for four (4) years.

VP Qualifications
Title: A Strong Candidate for Vice President
Introduction:
Throughout my years of dedicated service within our LBC, I have consistently demonstrated the qualities, skills, and commitment required to excel in a leadership position. As I enter the race for the role of Vice President, I would like to highlight my extensive experience, which includes four years as the Membership Chair, two years as the Assistant Chief of Officials, and my current role as the Chief of Officials. I firmly believe that my track record and ongoing dedication make me a strong candidate for the position of Vice President.
Body:
1. Membership Chair Experience:
During my four years as the Membership Chair, I actively worked towards ensuring member satisfaction. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of our members and equipped me with effective relationship-building and communication skills.
2. Assistant Chief of Officials and Chief of Officials:
In my role as the Assistant Chief of Officials, I provided invaluable support to the Chief of Officials while overseeing the efficient functioning of our LBB’s officials. My dedication, attention to detail, and ability to handle complex situations effectively allowed me to excel in this position. After assuming the position of Chief of Officials, I have been proactive in introducing innovative strategies to enhance the integrity and professionalism of our officials. This experience demonstrates my leadership abilities and adaptability in handling greater responsibilities.
3. Current Acting Vice President:
Serving as the Acting Vice President has provided me with a unique insight into the responsibilities and challenges that come with the role. I believe that my experience in this interim leadership position has prepared me well for the position of Vice President. As Acting Vice President, I have constantly sought ways to improve our organization's efficiency, promote collaboration, and prioritize the needs of our members. This experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of our organizational structure, as well as the ability to work alongside the President to accomplish our shared goals.
Conclusion:
In light of my extensive experience and unwavering commitment, I firmly believe that I am a strong candidate for the position of Vice President. My years as the Membership Chair, Assistant Chief of Officials, Chief of Officials, along with my current role as Acting Vice President, have provided me with a comprehensive skill set, impeccable leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of our LBC’s inner workings. If given the opportunity to serve as Vice President, I will continue to work diligently to foster growth, further enhance our LBC, and advocate for the needs and aspirations of our members.
I have been a long time member of USA Boxing with over 40 years of experience 25 plus years a coach and registered gym owner, also volunteered 3 years as a Sanction Chair for the LBC .
I would like to continue to serve the Middle Atlantic LBC as the Vice President working with current President Jamil Ali .
Secretary#
I have been a coach and official for several years. During this time I have spent a great deal of time building and cultivating relationships with athletes, coaches, officials in the mid Atlantic LBC. These relationships and experience give me a personal insight and perspective into the culture, needs, and desires of this LBC. We have a proud long historical boxing culture in the mid Atlantic that I take great pride in being a part of. I wish to continue contributing to this incredible community while also hoping to help its growth and sustainability. I also sit on the usa wrestling executive board of directors for Pennsylvania which gives me unique experience directly related to board operations and non Profit work
I have been involved in USA boxing for the past 5yrs now going on 6. I have been the current secretary for a little under a year and love the job that I do and how I contribute to my LBC.My dedication to the Mid-Atlantic and USA boxing is unwavering.I am very involved in going to national tournaments and boxing events.I am involved with not only the boxers from my LBC but dedicated to this sport.
Treasurer#
For 3 years I've been 1 of the proud owners of Kingdom Boxing Gym where we've hosted countless events to support the community and youth of Philadelphia. Kingdom has won the Mid-Atlantic Humanitarian Gym of the year award in 2021 and have receive many awards and accommodations from city and community based organizations. I've owned 2 accounting firms for over 20 years and have a bachelors and masters degree in accounting and finance.
I’ve been a member of the mid Atlantic LBC for almost 8 years. I’ve seen the LBC grow and improve in our commitment and results. I have owned my own successful business for over 40 years. And I’d like to bring my experience and help in the continued growth of our LBC.
Chief of Officials#
I have been a coach and official for several years. I am committed to being a team player and creating a family oriented and driven team. I want to bring out the best in myself as well as my team mates so we can continue to be the best LBC in USA boxing. As I continue to climb the ladder my goal is to take everyone with me, I truly believe there’s no limit to what we can do especially if we do it as a unit. I’ve studied hard and gave 100% for the last 5 years and I don’t plan on stopping no time soon! I’m transparent & team player and only want what’s best for our Lbc!!
