USA Boxing and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP)’s joint “Coaching You Up” program will provide updated flu and coronavirus vaccines at the upcoming 2024 USA Boxing National Open in Albuquerque, N.M.

This will be the fifth national event where USA Boxing and ASCP will collaborate, to promote healthy living, education, and access to vaccines for the local communities. Coaching You Up staff and pharmacists will attend the 2024 USA Boxing National Open all week, answering questions and providing vaccines and vaccine education in English and Spanish.

Numerous reports have indicated a rise in FLU and COVID cases since the holiday season. “We are inspired by coaches and athletes who give it their all at the ring after months or maybe years of training. Like coaches, our pharmacist’s sincere hope is to give people the right information so they can make the best decisions for themselves,” said Chad Warz, CEO of ASCP.

USA Boxing encourages everyone attending the National Open to stop by the Coaching You Up booth to learn more about the campaign, get vaccinated and/or participate in the wellness survey. Please bring your Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance card or snap a front and back picture before arriving. You may be eligible to receive the vaccines free of charge.
