Day Two of Competition Finishes at 2025 USA Boxing National Championships

The 2025 USA Boxing National Championships continued on Tuesday inside the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center in Lubbock, Texas, in partnership with Visit Lubbock. Tuesday’s action opened with 79 bouts across the Bantam, Intermediate and Junior Male divisions, and closed with a combined 96 bouts in the Youth and Elite Male divisions.
In the opening session, 12 bouts were contested within the Bantam division, followed by 27 bouts in the Intermediate division. There were 40 Junior bouts to round out the opening session and set the stage for Wednesday’s schedule within the tournament’s three youngest divisions.
Session two of Tuesday’s schedule began with 16 bouts in the Youth division and finished with 80 decisions in the Elite division. Among Tuesday’s 175 decisions, 166 were physically contested after six walkovers were recorded. Of those 166 bouts, 148 were won by points, 14 by RSC, two by disqualification, one by abandonment and one by knockout.
Marcus Luther (Washington D.C.) secured the lone knockout of the day, and did so in the opening round of his Elite Male 143 lbs matchup. Luther’s impressive tournament opener advances him to the round of 16, where he will meet Shamar Jerrick (Brooklyn, N.Y.). Jerrick earned his spot in the round of 16 with a win by disqualification.
Competition continues on Wednesday with two sessions, the first of which begins at noon CT. The women’s competition gets underway on day three, starting with the Bantam Female division. Session one will feature 19 bouts on each ring, concluding with the Junior Male division.
The Youth Female division will open Wednesday’s second session, beginning at 6 p.m. CT. The Youth Male division will begin after the Youth Females, followed by the Elite Females and the Elite Male division. In total, there are 87 bouts on the schedule for session two on Wednesday, including 15 bouts in the women’s category.
Each bout of the 2025 USA Boxing National Championships will be broadcast live on USABoxing.org, free of charge. Tickets to attend the remaining five days of competition at the 2025 USA Boxing National Championships are still available and must be purchased at the door. Daily passes are $10, while weekly passes are available for $50.
