USA Boxing Board Member Stacia Suttles Participates in Envoy Program
by USA Boxing
USA Boxing is honored to shine a light on Stacia Suttles, a former amateur boxer who represented Team USA in multiple international events and competed in numerous national events. She is now a member of the 2025 USA Boxing Board of Directors, serving as an Athlete Director.
Beyond her ability to box in the ring and her growing professional career, Suttles continues to serve as a role model for young boxers by her community involvement. Suttles recently represented USA Boxing in Verviers, Belgium, where she traveled to teach the art of boxing to two 9th-grade classes during the school's gym classes. Suttles took great pride not only in representing the USA, but also in teaching the youth the importance of boxing.
“Young people must see the positive impacts of sport,” Suttles stated. “So if they’re the ones who will represent our future, they must understand that sports are important to them."
Suttles wanted to help teach the youth the basics of boxing, including many drills without equipment. She wanted to show the school and the youth the positive impact boxing had on her and to shed that positive light on them and others.
“Sport has brought me so much in my life, and growing up really helped me understand how important it is. That’s why I work in schools today. I know it’s really important for children.” Suttles stated. “They need to see the positive impacts of sport and also realize that it’s something enjoyable. Today’s session, I think, was quite fun for them. And they can see that yes, it’s work. Yes, it can demand physical effort, but at the same time, it can be fun.”
Suttles is now a professional boxer and is currently 2-0. Suttles is just one of many boxers who represent the sport of boxing and the beauty it brings in and out of the ring. Her community involvement is inspirational to others, as she continues to inspire youth worldwide while proudly representing USA Boxing.
