Bout Time Announced for Yoseline Perez’s Semifinal Against Italy at 2025 World Boxing Championships
by Zack Chavez, USA Boxing
Yoseline Perez’s bout is set for her semifinal matchup at the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, England. Perez is scheduled to take on Italy’s Sirine Charaabi in the opening session, bout three, beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m. ET.
The United States’ 54-kilogram representative is amped and ready to compete in the medal rounds of the inaugural World Boxing Championships inside M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. The Houston, Texas, native will take on Italy, marking the second meeting of the year against Charaabi. Perez took the first meeting 3-2 at the World Boxing Cup: Brazil 2025.
After earning a bye in the opening round of the 2025 World Boxing Championships, Perez has stamped two wins to punch her ticket to the medal rounds. Each of her two wins came over Paris 2024 Olympians, including a unanimous decision over Ireland’s Jennifer Lehane and a 3-2 decision over Uzbekistan’s Nigina Uktamova. Perez continues to show her rapid rise in the Elite division with those two wins, as both Lehane and Uktamova had previously defeated the Team USA boxer.
Perez will need just two more wins to secure the coveted gold medal and the title “world champion,” which she is vehemently pursuing. After winning a world title at the Youth level, Perez will now look to claim the same title at the Elite level and could do it at the first-ever World Boxing Championships, etching her name in the history books in more ways than one.
The final two days of the 2025 World Boxing Championships will be broadcast live and free on worldboxing.org, presented by Eurovision Sport. To follow Yoseline Perez’s run at the world championships, visit the USA Boxing event page. For all tournament information, go to WorldBoxingLiverpool.com.
