The 2026 USA Boxing Men’s Youth High Performance Team was announced on Monday, finalizing the roster for the upcoming 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, and the remainder of the year. Of the nine athletes invited to the 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Selection Camp, all nine were named to this year’s team. The roster announcement concludes a successful Selection Camp for the USA Boxing High Performance department at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (USOPTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The USA Boxing Youth High Performance Team selected all nine boxers invited to its Selection Camp, setting the stage for a major year of competition for the selected athletes. The men’s roster spans nine weight classes, with eight of the nine boxers joining the team for the first time.

“The men’s team displays the competitiveness necessary to compete at the international level,” USA Boxing National Development Coach Edward Fonteneaux stated. “I am also excited for this team to represent the United States and display their talents and show that they belong at the top of the podium.”

Angel Blancarte (Hutchinson, Kan.) was named the men’s team captain after making the team for the second consecutive year. Blancarte will lead the team through his veteran experience and push his teammates to achieve the standard of excellence set in previous years.

“After breaking out of his shell and displaying his discipline, character and leadership, it showcased to me what the team needed for this year,” Fonteneaux noted of Blancarte’s leadership characteristics. “He has already shown the characteristics of an individual who will hold this team accountable and push them to success.”

A complete list of the nine athletes named to the 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Team is listed at the bottom of this announcement.

The 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance will first compete at the 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, March 8-15. The team will travel to Thailand on Wednesday, March 4, departing from the USOPTC in Colorado Springs, Colo.
