USA Boxing and Nevada LBC have come together to host the 2022 Battle Born Showdown, July 1-2, at the Ultimates Invitational amateur tournament, which will be adjacent to UFC X, , UFC’s two-day immersive and fully interactive fan experience event during International Fight Week.

The two-day boxing event will take place alongside the 2022 American National Jiu-Jitsu Championships and the 2022 USA Weightlifting National Championships at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall.

“USA Boxing’s National Events staff is pleased to see this partnership come to fruition,” stated
Michael Campbell, USA Boxing Events and Operations Manager. “Working with an industry leader, in the fight capital of the world, alongside our friends from other National Governing Bodies and amateur combat sports will grow competition opportunities and increase exposure for our sport.

This initiative is a result of USA Boxing’s commitment to the grassroots.  The National Events staff continues to identify relationships that can be developed into regional multi-day competitions and works with LBCs and local clubs to bring boxing events that can benefit every level of the local boxing community from beginner to elite and from coaches to officials.”

Danny Vella, USA Boxing Nevada Association Chief of Officials. “We look forward to welcoming many great athletes from all over the country and are anticipating a great turnout with an amazing showcase of talent.

With 2022 piloting this showcase, we believe there is strong potential to turn this into a large Regional Tournament and we look forward to what’s to come with this venture. We would like to thank USA Boxing, UFC, and all our partners/sponsors for helping to make this possible and for giving our athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents to the world. You won’t want to miss this!”
