USA Boxing National Qualifier clinic reminders and event updates

The 2022 USA Boxing National Qualifier will be offering participants numerous clinic and seminars throughout the tournament to provide our members more opportunities to improve their knowledge and skill sets.
Below is a closer look at the different clinics and seminars that will be made available.
Official in Charge (OIC) Certification
The OIC Certification will take place on Sunday, April 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in room 411 on the fourth floor of the Wolstein Center, for those Level II or higher officials looking to become an OIC at their LBCs. The OIC certification is a new certification that teaches officials to make sure sanction hosts understand the rules required to oversee a sanction, as well as emergency management training to teach officials what to do in the case of an emergency.
Only officials certified as a Level II or higher can test for this certification.
Technical Meeting and Draw
Like at previous USA Boxing National Tournaments, we will be conducting our Technical Meeting for the event on Sunday, April 24, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the boxing arena, and is open to all coaches and boxers to attend. If you cannot attend, we will be livestreaming it on the 2022 National Qualifier event page here. The tournament draw will take place following the Technical Meeting.
Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine
Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine, the official medical provider of the 2022 USA Boxing National Qualifier, will be providing an educational seminar during technical meeting, which begins at 12:00 p.m. They will be covering important topics to the sport of boxing such as concussions, hydration, nutrition and weight management.
Officials Training and Testing
An Officials Seminar will take place on Sunday, April 24, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., in the West Wing Room F (4th floor) for those officials working the event. Following the seminar, the Level III Officials test will be conducted, as well as the Officials Rankings test.
Coaches Space
The coaches’ space for coaches and boxers to use for training will open on Sunday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m. and remain open until 8:00 p.m.
Check-in Schedule
As a reminder, there will be no check-in on Sunday, April 24. Check-in will resume on Monday, April 25, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
These seminars and test will only be made available to officials working the event.
