The sport of boxing has been a constant presence in my life for over thirty-five years. I believe that it is an excellent activity for shaping young men and women into productive adults. Boxing has helped countless youngsters learn discipline, and gain self-esteem, not to mention keeping them healthy, and away from detrimental influences. I have volunteered with the sport that helped to shape my life for many years, and have always received a great deal of satisfaction from giving back to the sport that had such an influence on me.
It has been my privilege to have served as our LBC's Athlete Representative; Chief of Officials; Vice President; and President over the years. Our LBC has consistently been at or near the top of the list nationally for the efficiency in which it has conducted its financial affairs, and the promotion of its athletes to national prominence. I believe that is, in large part, the result of our LBC board of governors being able to work together in a cordial manner. I have had the opportunity to represent our LBC at regional and national events for years, and have seen first-hand how other LBCs' internal disagreements have stifled their efficiency.
I have always done my best to treat everyone fairly, and to be open to new ideas and constructive criticism. I often receive requests for assistance from our members when dealing with issues involving the national office, and have done my best to help our members achieve their goals. I have a good working relationship with the national office, and will do my best to represent the interests of our LBC members when interacting with the leadership in Colorado.
Thank you for your consideration of my candidacy, and feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. Jason Marquoit

I am an active member of the boxing community in Hillsboro Oregon. My home gym is Chief Cornerstone Boxing. For more than three consecutive years, I have served as the Director of the program. My professional background includes a masters degree in Education Administration and Program management. I am currently employed by Portland Community College as an Academic Advisor. My career goals include managing educational programs that support first generation college students. In addition, I foresee serving in college administration in the near future. My professional career has allowed me to incorporate an educational component to the sport of boxing and the athletes I serve. My ideas come from my own experiences as a boxer and now as professional who navigated higher education as a first generation student.

I am familiar with the position, I have served as the Treasurer and I understand the required record keeping and timeline to submit the annual reports, filings with State etc. I have the time to serve the LBC now in this position and am happy to volunteer as the Treasure.
