Before his boxing career, Watts played football at Glenville State, but discovered a new passion after college and transitioned to boxing. Watts then won the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships and went on to represent Team USA at the World Boxing Cup: Brazil 2025. Watts quickly made a name for himself as he defeated an Olympic bronze medalist in his first international bout and went on to earn a bronze medal in Brazil, and followed it up with a silver medal run at the 2025 World Boxing Challenge Grand Prix Usti Nad Labem.
