Serving the USA Boxing and Utah LBC has been an esteemed privilege since 2006. Over the course of these years, I have held various positions and served as the Chief of Officials since 2009.
I’ve been involved in boxing my entire life. I’ve been a former vice president of the Utah LBC as well as former COO. I’ve been a referee and judge for 28 years, including being a level 3 official. I’m currently vice president of the Rocky Mountain Golden Gloves board.

I have been a member of the USA Boxing for over 12 years and have served as an official for over 2 years and have attended USA Boxing Nationals and Golden Gloves. I would like to help out our state to be a stronger boxing state and help build boxers and gyms, help them learn the ways of USA Boxing as I believe we have lots of potential in our state. I'm very passionate of boxing and helping others be the best they can. I have good communication traits and good work ethic and happy to help those in our Utah LBC and boxing community.

During the past 5 years I have gained more experience and got to know all of the local gyms and coaches on a first name basis as well as the The boxers. I have helped put together LBC fights in the state of Utah to earn money to help our local boxers travel out of state every little bit helps. I would like to see our LBC have a Utah team that's one of the things I would like to see us put together. With a number of other I feel great ideas for our sport. I could go on and on and on about the sport on how much I love it but I would like my actions speak louder than my words. Thank you again for your time and attention

Treasurer#
I love the sport of boxing. I have been on the LBC board as President, secretary and JO chairman as well and run my own nonprofit Gym for 11 years.
I have been involved with USA boxing for over 25 years.
I started as an athlete competing in a local Salt Lake boxing gym and as I started going to college I transitioned over to coaching and was the head coach of Louie's. We had a lot of success building teams and athletes that competed at a high level of the sport. Not only did we help athletes attain their goals in boxing but also in life as many of the athletes I had the privilege to coach went on to be successful outside of the ring as parents, teachers, doctors, as well as serving our country in various divisions of the armed forces.
While coaching I transitioned to serving the Utah LBC as President for the last 8 years. This was only possible with the trust and support of our local gyms and coaches that put me in that position.
While on the board, we saw multiple levels of success. We had the most athletes in a long time in the state of Utah win and be ranked in the top of the national rankings as well as multiple national champions from the Golden Gloves to the USA nationals. I credit that success to team work and all the hard work put in by the athletes to reach their goals.
I studied at the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelors in Mass communication and a minor in peace and conflict. Through my education I learned to work with people and on teams which I feel is an important part of leading an LBC and or any other leadership position in life.
I helped lead a team to open the new Broadway theater in downtown Salt Lake as I oversaw the production, hiring of staff and the annual budget of one million dollars. Once the theater was opened I continued to lead the production team in the theater as well as overseeing purchasing and the production budget. I have balanced and prepped budgets at work for the last 8 years.
I feel this experience I bring will help me be an asset for the Utah LBC whether as a treasurer or vice president. I am a team player and see that boxing is bigger then any one individual and I hope to just be a part of Utah future success in USA boxing.
Chief of Officials#
My past boxing history
-2 time Utah State Golden Glove Champion 1986, 1987
-Coach of a 2 time Utah State Golden Glove State Team Champions
-Trainer of various nationally ranked boxers out of the Utah LBC
My volunteer experience has been officiating in many capacities as a Referee, Judge and assistant Chief of Officials under the sanction of USA Boxing for a time period of eight years which gave me a strong insight to the critical thinking as an official.
I have a degree in Philosophy and Engineering, that has been able to help me recreate new perspectives in ammeture boxing with emphasizing fairness and safety in the development of our upcoming boxers. Over the majority of my life, I was matriculated into the boxing culture and have enjoyed it. I believe this is my calling and I would be an asset to the Utah LBC
I have been a member of USA Boxing for over 5 years and an official for over 2 years. Within these years and prior to these years, I have learned the qualities that make a successful gym and successful athletes. I have learned the techniques an official needs before becoming one myself, so that I could be educated for my own boxers. When I did become an official my main objective was to be fair to all athletes. I know my qualities are hard working, great at working with people, good communication, handle situations calmly and overall willing to learn and be better for myself, for my LBC and the athletes. I will humbly do my best for boxing, our state, and especially for our athletes.
