USA Boxing Announces First Rankings for 2026
by USA Boxing
USA Boxing crowned its 2025 USA Boxing National Championships champions earlier this month, concluding the organization's 2025 calendar year. USA Boxing hosted four National events in 2025, including the 2025 National Championships, at which all ranking points accrued at the 2025 USA Boxing National Championships will carry over to 2026 and remain valid through December 1, 2026.
The organization recently updated its final rankings following the 2025 USA Boxing National Championships, which will serve as the first rankings of 2026. USA Boxing rankings use a two-year point system, meaning all points earned at a ranking event are valid for two years. Points earned from an event will be reduced by 50% on December 1 of the following year and by 100% on December 1 of the following year. USA Boxing ranking points do not carry over from one weight class to another, or from one age division to another.

Boxers must be United States citizens, and documentation must be provided during the registration period to verify the citizenship status of the athlete to be in USA Boxing’s ranking system. Also, boxers must be current USA Boxing members in good standing, meaning they are not under suspension by USA Boxing or World Boxing. All boxers will be categorized by gender, age, and weight classification.
As of now, USA Boxing has announced two national events for 2026: the USA Boxing International Open in Pueblo, Colorado, followed by the 2026 USA Boxing Women’s Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additional Tier-1 Regional events for 2026, as well as USA Boxing national events, will be announced on a later date.
