2026 USA Boxing Men's Elite High Performance Team and Squad Rosters Announced

The 2026 USA Boxing Men’s Elite Team and Squad rosters were announced Monday following the conclusion of the 2026 Elite High Performance Selection Camp in Colorado Springs, Colo. The selection camp was hosted at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center from Jan. 11 to Feb. 11.
USA Boxing’s Elite High Performance Team selected seven male boxers across as many weight classes to represent Team USA internationally throughout the 2026 calendar year. As for the Squad roster, USA Boxing’s High Performance department selected six more male boxers to represent Team USA on the High Performance Squad. A complete list of the 13 boxers is listed at the bottom of this announcement.
Team USA has high expectations entering 2026, when the Elite Team will compete in four international events, while the Squad will enter two international competitions throughout the year. Team USA will begin its competition slate at the Strandja Tournament in Bulgaria from February 19 through March 2.
Boxers on the Team roster will then compete in the World Boxing Cup #1 in Foz do Iguazu, Brazil, April 20-26, and the World Boxing Cup #2, June 15-20, in Guiyang City, China. The Elite High Performance Team members will conclude the 2026 schedule in Puebla, Mexico, at the PanAmerican Championships, October 10-17.
Boxers on the Squad roster will travel to Finland to compete at the Gee Bee event from April 6 through April 12. Athletes on the Squad roster will then travel to The Netherlands for the Eindhoven Cup, May 18-26.
USA Boxing’s 2026 Elite Men’s Team roster is comprised of Lorenzo Patricio (Waianae, Hawai’i), Salim Ellis-Bey (Philadelphia, Pa.), Marcus Luther (Washington D.C), Lavant Brownlee (Louisville, Ky.), Robby “Rahim” Gonzales (Las Vegas, Nev.), Joseph Awinongya (Joliet, Ill.), and Kelvin Watts (Chesapeake, Va.).
Team USA’s 2026 Elite Men’s Squad roster is comprised of Moises Rodriguez (El Paso, Texas), Yahir Diaz-Martinez (Winter Park, Fla.), Tyric Trapp (Tinton Falls, N.J.), Malachi Georges (Teaneck, N.J.), Nnajai Wright (Richmond, Va.), and Gilbert Kabamba (Boston, Mass.).
USA Boxing is led by Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Elite assistant coach and National Junior & Youth Head Coach Edward Fonteneaux (Fayetteville, N.C.). In addition to Walsh and Fonteneaux, Elite National Team coach Nikki Burleson (Oklahoma City, Okla.) will also join the coaching staff throughout the year.
