12 female boxers were crowned the 2021 National Junior Olympic Champions of their respective age divisions during the eighth day of boxing at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The first session began with pee wee, bantam and intermediate male boxers stepping under the bright lights in one of the four rings to continue fighting for a spot in Saturday’s championships before the junior males took to the ring in the evening session to secure their place in tomorrow’s semifinal bouts.

The junior females took to the ring halfway through the evening session to box for a spot at the top of the podium and earning a national title. At the conclusion of the evening, Andrea Favila (Weslaco, Texas), was named Junior Female Outstanding Boxer of the Tournament.

Semifinals for all remaining divisions will take place tomorrow in one single session, beginning at 12:00 p.m. CST. All bouts can be seen on USA Boxing’s livestream
