by USA Boxing

USA Boxing announced today the first edition of the COVID-19 policies that will be in place for the 2021 USA Boxing National Championships, which will be held this Dec. 5-11 in Shreveport, La.

A complete look at these policies can be found here

COVID-19 Documentation Required at check-in

Coaches, Officials, Staff, Elite Division Boxers and Youth Division Boxers will be required at check-in to show COVID vaccine or testing documentation.  All other boxer age divisions are NOT required testing or vaccine documentation. (However, must adhere to the mask mandate.)

One of the three below documentation options must be presented:

• COVID Vaccine Card showing at least one vaccination.

• Negative COVID test results taken within 72 hours prior of check-in (AT-HOME TESTS NOT PERMITTED)

• Positive COVID test results between August 21 -November 21, 2021.

Those who do NOT provide one of the above will be required to go get a local COVID-19 test prior to check-in.

Those who test positive within 72 hours prior will not be allowed to participate at the event. To prevent the spread of the virus, please do not travel to Shreveport if you test positive within 72 hours prior of arrival.

Mask Mandate

All coaches, officials, boxers, staff and volunteers are expected to follow the Shreveport Convention Center mask mandate, which states that everyone entering the venue must wear a mask at all times (except for boxers while competing).

Spectator Mask Guidelines

Spectators will be allowed at the National Championships but must also adhere to the mandate of wearing a mask at all times within the Shreveport Convention Center.
