USA Boxing Foundation “Train Like a Champion” Camp Set for Oct. 2-5, 2025
by USA Boxing Foundation
The USA Boxing Foundation announced today that its second-ever "Train Like a Champion" camp, a fundraising program for the USA Boxing Foundation, will take place Oct. 2-5, 2025, at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Open to participants ages 25 and over, the camp will allow boxing fans and enthusiasts to undergo training and drills like members of USA Boxing's High Performance teams.
"After the success of last year's training camp, we are excited to welcome back those who are former boxers, masters’ boxers, boxing fans, or fitness enthusiasts who want to experience training like one of the best athletes in the world," stated Matt Johnson, USA Boxing High Performance Director. "This camp not only provides a real-life training camp experience, it gives an inside look at how difficult it is to represent your country on the international stage while continuing to serve as a fundraising opportunity for the Foundation and USA Boxing."
"As a master boxer myself, I believe joining USA Boxing's 'Train Like a Champion' camp is a great opportunity to not only experience the life of a top amateur boxer but directly support the USA Boxing Foundation and their efforts to support amateur boxing in the United States," added Adam Mancuso, USA Boxing Foundation Board of Directors President.
This year's training camp will once again see participants experience the daily life of USA Boxing's top athletes. They will receive coaching from USA Boxing Head Coach Billy Walsh and USA Boxing CEO and former boxer Mike McAtee, as well as train alongside some of their top boxers.
"I attended last year's camp, and as an amateur master's boxer with a decent amount of experience, this camp was terrific and perhaps even more than I'd hoped for," stated last year's participant, Greg Miller. "The training was excellent, and our drills became part of my daily routine. This camp reflects the dedication of USA Boxing to providing excellent training and support programs to its valued members. I highly recommend this camp to all who enjoy the sport and wish to participate at a higher level."
Camp highlights include:
- Coaching provided by USA Boxing High Performance staff
- Training alongside Olympians and USA Boxing High Performance team members
