2026 USA Boxing Member Rate Adjustment Announcement

by USA Boxing

Since 2019, USA Boxing has seen significant membership growth. In the past two years, we’ve reached record numbers and are optimistic about continued growth as we progress toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

As participation has expanded, so too have the costs and expectations involved in delivering safe, high-quality training, competition, and member support at every level of the sport.

Over the past six years, USA Boxing has committed to expanding competition opportunities for each of our members. In that time, we have added the USA Boxing Women’s Championship, which serves as a competitive opportunity for female boxers and an excellent pathway to continue building women’s boxing within the United States.

Additionally, USA Boxing has also created the International Open, which grants our USA Boxing grassroots members opportunities to compete against international competition.
We’ve also continued to strengthen regional and local competitions, support event organizers, and provide coach and official development programs that benefit members across the country.

In addition to those endeavors, USA Boxing also recognizes the need to better prepare athletes for the High Performance pathway. With this, we understand that to do so, we must better fund High Performance opportunities at the Junior and Youth divisions, as well as the Elite division.

By investing in these programs, we raise the overall standard and visibility of USA Boxing, creating more pathways and recognition for athletes, coaches, and gyms nationwide. To continue improving competitive opportunities and services for all USA Boxing members domestically, USA Boxing will implement a tiered membership rate increase beginning on November 13, 2025. To obtain or renew a membership before the price adjustment, USA Boxing encourages members to complete their renewals prior to November 13. A full breakdown of that tiered membership rate increase can be found at the bottom of this announcement.

These changes have been carefully structured to remain among the most affordable memberships in Olympic-style sports, while ensuring long-term sustainability and fairness across all member categories.

We recognize that price increases on any product or service are not always convenient, but after years of holding rates steady, this step is necessary to maintain the standards of safety, competition, and service our members expect and deserve.

We have worked hard to minimize this adjustment and have not raised rates in several years, but increasing costs for event operations, insurance, and staffing have made this step necessary to maintain quality and safety for everyone.

With that, USA Boxing is fully committed to enhancing member experiences and delivering greater value through these membership rate increases, which will further allow us to serve the overwhelming majority of participants at our domestic events, the USA Boxing Junior and Youth talent pipelines, and member service initiatives.

In the coming year, we will continue introducing new educational resources, improved digital tools, and more transparent communication to ensure members see and feel the value of their membership.

We understand that change can be difficult, and we deeply appreciate your continued support, feedback, and dedication to USA Boxing. Together, we will keep building a stronger, more inclusive boxing community on the pathway to Los Angeles 2028 and beyond.
