Wild Card Application now online for 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Championships

The Wild Card application for the remaining bracket spots for elite boxers hoping to compete at this December’s 2022 USA Boxing National Championships in one of the 13 Olympic weight categories is now online. Olympic weight categories can be found below.
Applications must be submitted by September 28, 2022. Boxers that earn a spot at the 2022 USA Boxing National Championships through the wild card application will be informed by October 5, 2022 and must accept their invitation by October 11, 2022.
The amount of Wild Card qualification slots available is based on the number of remaining slots to fill a maximum bracket size of 16 boxers. A complete list of qualified boxers and number of Wild Card spots may be found here.
To be eligible for a Wild Card selection, a boxer must meet a minimum of one wild card criteria, which can be found below. After the Wild Card application deadline, all applications will be reviewed by the National Championships Selection Committee, composed of the USA Boxing High Performance Director, Event Manager, and an athlete representative. Based on this review, the applicants who meet the highest criteria, listed below, will be awarded the remaining qualifications for the National Championships.

ii. Medalist at an AMBC Elite Continental Championships or Pan American Games
iii. Medalist at a Youth World Championships
iv. Medalist at a Youth Pan American Games or Youth Continental Championships
v. Medalist at 2021 USA Boxing Elite National Championships
vi. 2022 Youth High Performance Team Member
vii. 2022 Youth High Performance Squad Member
viii. Top 2 at 2022 Elite National Golden Gloves
ix. Medalist at 2021 USA Boxing Youth National Championships
x. Top 2 at a 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Championships Qualifier in a non-Olympic weight category
xi. Top 2 at 2022 USA Boxing National Qualifier or Summer Festival in youth division
xii. Top 8 at a 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Championships Qualifier in an Olympic weight category
